Phase 2 - Phonics Activity Sheets Differentiated activity sheets to support the teaching of phase 2 phonics. Example learning intentions for each sound: Target phoneme /s/ written as ‘ss’ Learning intentions are to: * recap what we know * say the /s/ phoneme * find the letters ‘ss’ * read words with ‘ss’ in * spell words with ‘ss’ in * write the letters ‘ss’ I have used these in my own class for the last two years. Children engage well and the handwriting has improved also. Phase 3 Activity Sheets to follow shortly.

The Snail and the Whale Literacy Lesson Resources

(0)
Literacy Lesson resources to support the teaching of The Snail and the Whale. This sequence of lessons would last approximately 3 weeks. Lesson resources can be easily edited. Suitable for both Year 1 and Year 2. Differentiation is shown in some lessons. The only supporting resources I used were the book itself and literacy word mats. Got some wonderful inference work and written work from the children. My class thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and completely the work set each day.
